Zostrix Capsaicin 0.025% Cream 45g

Zostrix Capsaicin 0.025% w/w Cream is a natural chilli-based topical analgesic, derived from purified capsaicin.

Unlike capsaicin oleoresin-based heat rubs, Zostrix acts at the nerve ending to block pain signals, blocking the primary neurotransmitter of nerve pain, substance P. With continued use, Zostrix accumulates at the site of application to deplete substance P, providing temporary relief of pain associated with arthritis and pain relief after shingles, typically within 4-6 weeks.

Apply a small bead of cream to the affected area, regularly, 3-4 times a day, for as long as required.

Ingredients:
Capsaicin, benzyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, isopropyl myristate, PEG-100 stearate, purified water, sorbitol solution (70 per cent) (crystallising), white soft paraffin.

Warnings:
Do not apply when shingles are active. Do not apply cream to cracked or broken skin, just before or after a hot bath or shower. Avoid washing the area of application within 30 minutes, unless treating hands. Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if rash or irritation occurs. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare professional.
