This pack holds 2 Surgical Basics Snake Bite Kits. Each kit keeps the bandages for a snake or spider bite together in its own small blue zip case and holds 5 items: two Premium Indicator Compression Bandages, a triangular bandage, a non-adherent dressing pad and a snake bite treatment guide.

The compression bandages are 10cm x 1.5m and stretch to 4.5m, one roll each. Their tension indicators turn square when the correct pressure is being applied, as the guide shows. The triangular bandage measures 110 x 110 x 155cm and comes with two safety pins, for use as a sling, a cover for a dressing or for tying splints. The 5cm x 5cm non-adherent dressing pad has 2 sides and is sterile unless its package is opened or damaged.

Each case is blue with black zip trim, a rubber-grip carry handle and a zip pull, with mesh pockets inside to hold the contents. On the front are a white cross, a reflective grey Snake Bite Kit band and icons for camping, cycling, car, caravan and boating.

From the treatment guide - how to bandage a snake or spider bite:
1. Call triple zero (000) for medical assistance.
2. Wrap a pressure bandage over the bite area three times. It should be tight enough that you cannot easily slide a finger between the bandage and the person's skin. When the tension indicators are square, the correct pressure is being applied.
3. Starting from just above the toes or fingers on the affected limb, wrap the bandage past the bite and as far up the limb as you are able to.
4. Apply a splint to the affected limb. If you need to, make one from items nearby, for example a tree branch, rolled-up newspaper or a length of wood. Make sure the person stays still.
5. Mark the site of the bite on the bandage with a pen or a bit of dirt.
6. Note down the time the bite occurred and when you applied the bandage.
7. Wait with the person and monitor them, noting any changes to their condition.
Seek medical attention immediately.

Safety:
Do not place the triangular bandage on open wounds.
The dressing pad is sterile unless its package is opened or damaged.
Keep out of reach of children unless under adult supervision.
