Resource ThickenUp Clear is an instant food and drink thickener built around a patented xanthan gum blend, formulated as a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of people with swallowing difficulties. Must be used under medical supervision.

The powder is transparent, tasteless, odourless and lump-free, and is designed to mix and measure easily while resisting breakdown from amylase so consistency stays stable throughout the swallowing process. It does not affect the colour, taste or odour of hot or cold foods and drinks.

Directions:
Mix to the consistency advised for the individual using the IDDSI framework and the scoop supplied in the tin: 1 scoop per 200mL of liquid for Level 1 (slightly thick), 2 scoops for Level 2 (mildly thick), 4 scoops for Level 3 (moderately thick) or 6 scoops for Level 4 (extremely thick). Store in a cool, dry place and use within 8 weeks of opening; prepared mixtures should be covered and used within 6 hours at room temperature or 24 hours if refrigerated.
