The absorbent wound pad contains metal and x-ray detectable materials and is suited to minor wounds and puncture sites. It forms a bacterial barrier for two-way protection, is waterproof and dirt repellent, and remains breathable and permeable to water vapour. It can be worn in the shower, meaning fewer dressing changes.
