Gaviscon Infant Regurgitation & Gastric Reflux 30 Sachets

Gaviscon Infant Powder for Oral Suspension is for regurgitation and gastric reflux in infants and young children.

Regurgitation is quite common in babies, especially if they are very hungry prior to a feed or swallow more air than normal during a feed. Each sachet contains one dose, providing Sodium Alginate and Magnesium Alginate.

Do not give more than six times in 24 hours. Breast-fed infants under 4.5kg take one dose, mixed with 5mL cooled boiled water to a smooth paste plus a further 10mL water, given after each feed. Bottle-fed infants under 4.5kg have one dose mixed into at least 115mL of each bottle feed and shaken well; over 4.5kg, two doses into at least 225mL. Young children take two doses, prepared as for breast-fed infants, at each meal.

Active ingredient:
Each dose contains Sodium Alginate 225mg and Magnesium Alginate 87.5mg. Also contains Mannitol E421.

Warnings:
Please read the enclosed leaflet before use. Do not use Gaviscon Infant with other feed thickening agents or infant milk preparations containing a thickening agent. Do not use more than the stated amount or give more than six times in 24 hours. Each sachet contains approximately 23.9mg sodium; if your infant is on a low sodium diet, ask your doctor before use. Each sachet is security sealed; do not use if damaged.
