The Chemists' Own PROCHECK Vaginal pH Rapid Test Panel is a single-use vaginal swab test for pH, used to help diagnose bacterial vaginosis. All components are supplied: a test panel, sterile swab and package insert.

The supplier describes it as fast, reliable, an easy single-use procedure and confidential.

To use, wash your hands, then remove the swab from its pouch without touching the head. Gently insert the swab about 2 inches into the vagina for around 10 seconds before withdrawing it, then allow the test and swab to reach room temperature (15-300C) before testing as directed in the pack instructions.

Warnings:
Some menopausal women may have an elevated vaginal pH and may receive an abnormal result even without a bacterial or parasitic infection. Certain circumstances, such as a menstrual period, intercourse or use of vaginal medical products, can temporarily alter vaginal pH and lead to a false result; urine can also cause a false result. Never begin treatment before discussing the result with a doctor.
