Blackmores I-Folic helps optimise folic acid and iodine levels, providing iodine to help promote the development of a baby's brain, eyesight and hearing.

Each tablet provides a daily dose of folic acid that may help reduce the risk of birth defects of the brain and/or spinal cord, such as spina bifida, when taken daily for 1 month prior to conception and throughout pregnancy. Iodine is also important for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland, which is needed for the synthesis of thyroid hormones.

Directions:
Adults take 1 tablet a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed.

Ingredients:
Iodine (as potassium iodide) 150 micrograms; Folic acid 500 micrograms.

Warnings:
Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in your first trimester. Do not exceed the stated dose except on medical advice. If you have had a baby with a neural tube defect or spina bifida, seek specific medical advice.
